Ashley moved to sea lion level for her swimming class after over 6 months working on gold fish. I’m so happy for her. She did a great job for today’s level test and passed it.
It’s a smart move to change Ashley to Monday night class and let Mr.Tri help her. In the past month, I have keeping communication with her swimming instructor to understand her status. It works, I’m so happy for her progress. I’m also proud of myself, a smart and aggressive mother who can always find some way to work out the tough situation.

Today, Katie(Ashley’s classmate) invited Ashley to go attend Chinese Lunar Year celebration event which was hosted in Hakone garden. Two girls enjoyed lion dance, Taiji and big drum performance, it’s really a good Chinese culture experience. We also fed pool fish, hirking in the beatiful hill garden. Spring is everywhere, bamboo section is especially impressive.
Time elapsed so fast. We didn’t have Ashley yet when we visited this pretty Janpanese style garden last time, it’s 10 years ago.

Ashley signed up Soho Art class in Jan. 2013. This art school is special because it encourages the creativity of small kids. Every kid is the creative talent and we need to learn how to retain this valuable inborn attributes. The 1st 10 classes are designed for playing color.
Ashley loves this class very much so far! Her works look very pretty, and I will try to use it to decorate our home after framing them.
Mommy drove Ashley to soho class every Saturday night. While Ashley is working on her job, all parents are invited to listen to the class speech of Ms. Lin. Her speech is very attrative. What a talented woman!

Tonight, Ashley won 1st place for her piano competition in her category. This time, the trophy is green, looking very pretty.

Ashley loves her new trophy, and held it all the way in the car when we drove home. We are very proud of her. She got 2 trophies and 2 medals for her piano accomplishments so far. She made an obvious progress year after year. I believe she will eventually win the Grand place if she keeps practicing!

Ashley attended the competition event this event. She performed two pieces:
1. Open Solo — 2A, Gavotte in C Major
2. Treasury of Comtemporary — Junior, After the ball

In these 2 groups, Ashley is the youngest player, most of kids are around 8~12 years old. Ahsley won the 3rd place (5/12) and the 4th place (7/28) respectively. It’s an amazing result, both are beyond my expectation. Actually, Ashley doesn’t like piano very much recently. We even had an intense fighting last month and it seems she wanted to give it up for a while. I believe this result also surprised Ashley. She was extremely thrilled about it. She kept running again and again outside, among the garden flowers, under the clear blue sky. I’m so proud of her, for her brave, for her smart, for her consistent. I’m also deeply touched by my own instinct, my perseverance, and my patience. We need to have a faith on ourselves. Everything is closer than we think. The only thing we need to do is to challenge ourselves and strech your own spirit, work for what you want and eventually you will get what you derserve.

Ashley, congratulations!!! Mommy love you, and Mommy am very very proud of you! Keep going, you will fulfill more accomplishment along your way!

What Mommy most hopes is you do enjoy your successful moments, and be able to merge into the ectasy you has created for your colorful life, one by one!
